Good Morning!

Welcome to Norwegian Wood Retreat, a retreat for kindred spirits.  I've just made the leap into the blogging world.  Thank you, Jane, for pointing me in the right direction.

This blog will be about events and activities at Norwegian Wood Retreat.  I hope to entice you into coming for the day or weekend.

Norwegian Wood Retreat is a Bed and Breakfast - and more! - located about 1 hour north of the Twin City metropolitan area on five pine and oak acres.  Ok, there currently is some pesky buckthorn too but I'm working to get rid of it - it will take some persistence!  There are four bedrooms with very comfortable beds that can accommodate up to eight overnight guests.   The beds can be set up as singles or king size.

The facility also has a good sized studio with a heated floor - very nice this time of year! and a large screened-in porch for napping on lazy summer afternoons.

Examples of being more than a B&B have been scrap booking retreats, business meetings, christan men's retreat, one-day family gatherings, and just recently, a venue for a local campaign Meet and Greet.  Quilters are coming in March.

At the end of March, there will be a knitting retreat with a well-known Norwegian knitter and Rauma wool distributor, Arnhild Hillesland.  Reservations are currently being accepted.

Go to Norwegian Wood - Events to find out how to register for upcoming events or customize your own visit.  Norwegian Wood Retreat is also on Facebook too so  that's another way to see photos and get event information.

Stay tuned for more postings and pictures!
